Look at you;
You're 21 and you're in your room
You're lying in bed staring up into the sky
Through the small patch of window left uncovered by the curtains

You're supposed to be sleeping but you're crying
You're sad about something that happened ten years ago
You didn't even know that it was something you remembered, something that still hurts you.

Hopefully that's what the future you will do
With a smile on her face and contentment in her heart
That the scars that you have left on her
